Tina – What an informative segment! Thanks for the great ideas. And where did you get that fabulous necklace?

Thanks for your feedback! I’m so glad you enjoyed the segment. As for that amazing necklace, it’s from Anne Koplik Designs. Anne’s pieces are frequently seen on Dancing with the Stars, The View and Entertainment Tonight, to name just a few television shows. You can view her online catalog at http://www.annekoplik.com

Nice tips, but what is your opinion on exercising? How much should they exercise and if they aren’t exercising enough, how can I make them?

Thanks so much for posting your question. It’s a tricky one, since you really can’t “make” a child exercise. What I do is lead by example. I make time for exercise, empasize its value and try to involve the whole family. Cycling becomes a fun, family outing, when the kids get to choose the route; going to the gym is something kids can look forward to, when there are programs that involve children their own age; I encourage participation in team sports, from baseball and track to cheerleading and soccer. The key is to have the child select the sport they want to do, and I reward them when they are physically active. I always say, “A family that plays together stays together!”
