At the end of September, I found myself in Idaho as a presenter at the 4th Annual Sun Valley Harvest Festival. Idaho has quite the flourishing culinary scene and, in between my presentations, I went on a food tour, sampling goodies from the best, local restaurants.
If you ever find yourself in the area, here are my must-try restaurants:
Bigwood Bread Café: Bigwood is a fabulous organic bread company with a café that serves fantastic fresh breakfast items, sandwiches, soups, salads and Paninis all on their organic breads.
Cristina’s: Cristina Ceccatelli Cook grew up in Italy, and the fresh flavors at her self-named restaurant represent her Tuscan childhood.
Cavacava: This upscale Mediterranean restaurant has an open kitchen where a talented team of culinary experts creates perfect cuisine.
Dashi: A casual, independent eatery that focuses on local, organic and sustainable modern, Asian cuisine.
